Teachers in Govt primary schools remain absent in Kangan, managing attendances fraudulently | KNO

Despite drawing salaries, many teachers in Government Primary Schools in Kangan are not attending schools allegedly. Sources told that many teachers in Government primary schools of Kangan due to political influences are managing to draw salaries without performing their duties. S

ources said that the many teacher under SSA appointed few years ago are absent since long, hence taking heavy toll on education of children in these schools besides fraudulently drawing salaries from the public exchequer. Sources said there is nexus between school authorities and teachers who mark attendance of the absent teachers fraudulently. Sources further added that there is an arrangement between teachers to manage attendances, hardly attending schools for five to six days a month.

They said that these teachers are doing their own business by skipping their duties. Meanwhile when contact Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ganderbal he told press Trust of Kashmir that “I will take serious action against these teachers”.
